Dear Rosebud Families,

DANGEROUS DAYS FOR WORMS”
We are beginning to see signs of spring at Rosebud. No worm is safe in our garden as the ground begins to warm and we “work “ the soil before we plant our summer crop of corn, tomatoes, pumpkins, and anything else that we can squeeze into our well tended garden.

Lynn and the preschoolers have cared for the worm box throughout the winter. We have learned what fruit and vegetable scraps can be put into the worm box for use in composting. We will add the worm castings to our soil before we plant our garden.

We observe the children taking care of the garden from early spring until the last cherry tomato is eaten in the fall. The lessons learned from this are many. We invite you to share in the process as the children and the garden continue to bloom and grow at Rosebud.

OUTDOOR CLOTHING
Since we will be spending more and more time outside, please provide a hat for wearing on the playground and a complete change of warm weather clothes. Thanks for your help with clothing that may be needed during the day.

PARENT ENRICHMENT PROGRAM: “Parent and Children Relationships”
Tim Stein, a marriage and family therapist, will offer his third presentation at Rosebud Preschool on Thursday, March 27th, at 7:00pm. The topic will be parent and child relationships. You are invited to attend and encouraged to bring any friends who may be interested. Due to the nature of the program, this is an adults only event.

Preschool will be closed Monday, March 17th through Monday, March 24th for Spring Break. Preschool will resume on Tuesday, March 25th.

ACHOO!
The flu season hit hard at preschool. We hope that it is finally over and each family has returned to good health. We will continue to talk about healthy living during the first half of March. This is an excellent opportunity to work on matters of hygiene in our classroom. We appreciate your help in this area at home.
