Spirit Guide Pin Presentation

Gordon Nichol was Clerk of Sessions for many years stretching back to his selection by the Rev. Frank Hamilton. He assisted Lee Hansen and others in tracking and recording in order to maintain the official history of the Church of the Roses through the session records of marriages, funerals, baptisms, the installation of officers and the oversight of the ministries and missions of the church.

While the presentation of a Spirit Guide pin is something I like to do in worship, Gordon and Lorraine said that for health reasons, a visit with them in their home in Windsor would suit them better. With Debra Eynon, we had a small ceremony thanking Gordon for his service of our church. I asked to take a picture and I told Gordon that he should not be surprised if church members saw the picture in the bulletin and called him at his home to express their appreciation.
"That would be just fine," he said. (hint, hint)
